Can. Nice aroma of wheat malt, yeast and fruit. Golden yellow colour with white head. Disappointing watery flavour - where has the wheat gone. Flavour is at the level of an ordinary lager.

0,5 l can. A strange one this. If the can didn’t say this was a wheatbeer, I would never have guessed. Not much taste, but there is some slight citrus and some candy. Not a good attempt.

Pours a clear, dark-hued golden body with a far too thin and quickly disappearing top. This one’s got nothing on the regular German Hefeweizen in terms of look. Nose gets an overdose of banana and not much more. The mouthfeel is pretty smooth, but not enough to save this weizen from Death by Monotonous Banana. Very narrow in the taste profile, a bit of light malts by virtually no hop bitterness to balance the sweetness, which doesn’t even have the regular wheat dryness to it. Ok drinkability, though. Aass still has a lot to learn about weissbier, but I guess it’s a decent enough attempt at the regular Norwegian beer market.
