Gr0ve (1875) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 3, 2007
330 ml bottle. Deep golden colour. Medium-sized white coarse head. Lots of large bubbles rising towards the surface. Rounded nutty malts. Crisp floral hops. Smooth texture, but still a quite high carbonation level. Medium-bodied. Grainy watery flavours in the finish. Light bitterness in the aftertaste. Very drinkable as it is not too light and does have a little flavour. For a pilsener this one is decent.

Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 7, 2011
0.5l bottle. Pours a crystal clear pale yellow body with a creamy quickly fading white head. Aromas are pale malts and slightly floral. Tastes not that much, but you get a weak malty base with faint hints of metallic hops. Medium carbonation and light bodied. Not much more to say I guess..

abemorsten (1315) - Randaberg, NORWAY - MAY 7, 2011
Bottle kindly shared by Sigmund. Short lived, frothy, white film on a clear golden body. Esters and sugars in the aroma. Bitter and acidic aroma. Light body. Heavy carbonation. Dry finish. Unbalanced and soulless.

Can at home
Golden, big white head. Smells of dust, grass, hints of pepper and malts. Taste of cooked vegetables, some malts and light sweetness, quite dry mouthfeel. Light body, soft carb. Ligth bitter finish with some bitter hops. Nothing that makes me want more really

Bottle, 1 day after expiry date. Pale golden, medium white head. Malty aroma, caramel and grain. Actually a bit sour taste of pilsnermalt and hops, ends with same sour taste. One day beyond exp date can’t really explain the sourness?

Aass makes some brews to be sold in smaller geographical areas - this one is for Hallingal. I don’t know if it is just a label - or if it’s a real unique brew. In any case: Too much water, too little beer.

Slight bitterness in taste, very little aroma. Colour is very clear, a small white head forms. Better than most Norwegian pilseners. (50 cl bottle)

Quick-review; Clear, golden colour, with a white head. Sweet malt on the nose, a slight vegetablearoma aswell? Sweet also in the mouth, medium -bitternes, floral, medium - body. Decent
