2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Tequilakongen (287) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 20, 2011
Slight bitterness in taste, very little aroma. Colour is very clear, a small white head forms. Better than most Norwegian pilseners. (50 cl bottle)
1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 KnutAlbert (4587) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 22, 2006
Very similar to their Lundetangen, of not identical (A little difference in the colour.) I don’t know why they bother with all these pilsners and don’t have a shot at something better instead. Theri Chrismtas beers show they can....
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 7, 2011
0.5l bottle. Pours a crystal clear pale yellow body with a creamy quickly fading white head. Aromas are pale malts and slightly floral. Tastes not that much, but you get a weak malty base with faint hints of metallic hops. Medium carbonation and light bodied. Not much more to say I guess..
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 tarjei (1949) - Bryne, NORWAY - JUN 22, 2007
50 cl can. Golden color, white vanishing head. The sweetness in this beer is not very appealing. A bit watery.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 abemorsten (1315) - Randaberg, NORWAY - MAY 7, 2011
Bottle kindly shared by Sigmund. Short lived, frothy, white film on a clear golden body. Esters and sugars in the aroma. Bitter and acidic aroma. Light body. Heavy carbonation. Dry finish. Unbalanced and soulless.
1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Rune (4922) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 25, 2006
330ml bottle. Fast fading white foam over a clear amber body. Lack of aroma apart from a fresh malty brush. Light grassy and citric taste. Highly carbonated. Thin palate (21.11.2006).
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Sigmund (3705) - Hafrsfjord, NORWAY - SEP 20, 2002
The Norwegian valley Hallingdal has from ancient times been famous for its strong homebrew and subsequent knife-fights. Aass Bryggeri’s Halling beer is an insult to the proud people of Hallingdal. It’s a lousy pils with little or no character besides being far too sweet. (Sampled 0,5 liter can.)
1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 OleR (3638) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 28, 2006
Can. Pale golden, decent white head. Vague malt aroma. Sweetish malt flavors, minimal hopbitterness. Light body, fizzy mouthfeel, short semi-dry finish. Unexciting.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 HansJM (358) - NORWAY - JUN 28, 2002
Aass makes some brews to be sold in smaller geographical areas - this one is for Hallingal. I don’t know if it is just a label - or if it’s a real unique brew. In any case: Too much water, too little beer.
1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 Finn (2610) - Tromsø, NORWAY - FEB 16, 2009
Pale golden colored. An OK creamy white head. Hoppy metallic aroma. Flavor is watery sweet malt. KI=4
