COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aass Christmas Wheat is a top fermented fruity beer full of sweetness, sligtly lighter than "traditional" Christmas beers. Wheat malt (30%) gives a freshness, while vienna and caramel malt gives the wonderful Christmas sweetness.... Brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot.

330ml bottle. Dark brown/copper body with a big beige head. Discreet, but pleasant aroma. Sweet, slightly roasted malt with some spices. Flavor is medium sweet, some caramel, yeast, fruit and spicy. The mouthfeel is a bit watery, quite similar to many commercial German dunkel weissbiers. Not a world classic, but very drinkable. How many beers of this type could you pick up at a Norwegian supermarket to this price? Lot better than most other boring pilsners from this country. I know this should not be taken in consideration when the beer is ratet, but I just hade to mention this somewhere. Wipe off the Christmas gnome, and make this available the whole year, Aass!

330 ml bottle. Dark copper colour. Crystal clear. Throws a tall off-white head that clings to the glass. Nutty wheat aroma. Hints of yeast, which is top-fermenting according to the label. Smooth texture and quite mellow. Low carbonation level. Nutty and chocolatey flavours balanced by a wheaty character. Nicely rounded. Slightly sweet malts. There is a light smokey and bacon flavour. I’m not really a fan of dark wheat beers like this one, but it is quite unique on the Norwegian market. Little hops to be found, but they are definitely there somewhere in the background. Finishes slightly dry.
