Amber with a thick creamy head and a delicate, but nice malt smell. The flavor was of malt and carmel. A well-balanced, highly drinkable, good tasting vienna.

Very light aroma, sweetness and not much else discernible. Sweet flavor, hints of oak and malt, but pretty light for a winter. Not bad, but nothing special.

sweet with dark fruit. medium red / brown in color. little hopping. not much malt - but not really thin either. reminds me of their aass bock. a different spin on the winter beer style - I like it - but it needs to be stronger.

Try the stronger klasse F version of their Juleĝl instead. Rerate 2002: Has the good caramel sweetness, maltiness and spiciness a Norwegian Christmas beer should have - theres just too little of everything! And 4,5% ABV is simply not enough for this style. The klasse F (6,2%) is still A LOT better!! I believe the version sold in the US is 5,9%.

Deep brown color with a ring around the collar looking dirty white head. Rather sour milk-like aroma. Quite sweet with a very restrained hop presence.

Dark brown color, large head. Dark malts. Light tasting, light bodied. Light malt and hops. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is malty and slightly bitter.

Not much head. Nice sweet aroma. The label says this is a holiday beer. Perhaps the alcohol is a touch noticeable - which is odd for a 4.5% abv beer. Sort of like a dunkel. Nice, but a fairly average vienna. Not Aasss best.

Affectionately referred to as "the Gnome Butt Beer" around my place, this beer is clean crisp and sweet. Sharing similarities with a nice red wine. A great beer for sipping.

one of the first christmas beers i tried in the early 90s it seems to be the same and still has those flovors that seem difficult to achive by just using malt. i miss the old labels with santa skating with a barrel under his arm
