Try the stronger ’klasse F’ version of their Juleøl instead. Rerate 2002: Has the good caramel sweetness, maltiness and spiciness a Norwegian Christmas beer should have - there’s just too little of everything! And 4,5% ABV is simply not enough for this style. The ’klasse F’ (6,2%) is still A LOT better!! I believe the version sold in the US is 5,9%.

Deep brown color with a ring around the collar looking dirty white head. Rather sour milk-like aroma. Quite sweet with a very restrained hop presence.

Not much head. Nice sweet aroma. The label says this is a holiday beer. Perhaps the alcohol is a touch noticeable - which is odd for a 4.5% abv beer. Sort of like a dunkel. Nice, but a fairly average vienna. Not Aass’s best.

Affectionately referred to as "the Gnome Butt Beer" around my place, this beer is clean crisp and sweet. Sharing similarities with a nice red wine. A great beer for sipping.

one of the first christmas beers i tried in the early 90’s it seems to be the same and still has those flovors that seem difficult to achive by just using malt. i miss the old labels with santa skating with a barrel under his arm

Pours a deep garnet, the head is generous and beige, the lace is decent. Nose is light toasted grains, a hint of caramel. The start is sweet, the top is light, the finish is dry, lightly carbonated, the hops are light, but a fair to middlin beer at any rate. Ranks #759 on my master beer list.
