COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sweet, caramel aroma. Clean, crisp taste, and an almost dry aftertaste. Interesting and complex. Very flavorful with strong malt presence.

Bottle from Ica, Vikersund. Clear, reddish brown colour. Finger-thick offwhite head that reduces quickly. Slightly sweet malty aroma quite well balanced with soft hop bitterness. Finishes too sour. Very average brew that failed to induce xmas emotions.

Can. Pours clear amber with a off-white head. Typical norwegian christmas beer. Could need a little more of everything, but a nice beer.

0.33l bottle from Meny. Pours a nice dark brown-red body with a quite thin quickly disappearing head. Nose is fresh fruits and burned malts - otherwise quite anonymous. Tastes quite blend. Some malt, thin caramel and week leather hints. Finishes off with a small bitter ending. All in all; Quite boring. (could have sworn the alcohol percentage was 4,7 - not 4,5 but that’s another story)

"2010 edition", bottle from local store. Pours a brown brew with an off-white head which quickly disappears. Nose is sweet. Aroma has hints of licorice, dark sweet fruits, malt. Good mouthfeel, but slightly watery. Nice balance, not sickeningly sweet. Pretty good "grocery store juleøl", but not very exciting.
