2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 OSLO (1084) - Ames, Iowa, USA - MAY 3, 2008
[Can, thanks Akevitt] Pours clear, slightly reddish-brown with a cream head. Aroma is malty and quite sweet with a lot of caramel. The taste is really weak with a somewhat unpleasant grainy taste and something fruity--like green grape. Thin, but smooth with a fairly long finish. The aroma was ok, but the taste just ruined this beer.

Tusen takk to Silje from Drammen for the six pack! ;) The beer was clear brown with generous eggshell color foam. In the aroma and flavor I got caramel and roasted malt, and some christmas spices. The spices came out more in the aroma than the flavor. Slight bitter finish.

Thanks to akevitt for sharing. Malty nose on this brown body with off white head. Clean dry finish and not as sweet as I’d expect from a Vienna.

Thanks to akevitt for sharing. Pours a clear brown body with red hue and off-white head. Head is foamy, but laces nicely. Spicy aroma with a very bock-like body. Finishes clean.

A rare beer from Akevitt. Moderate sweet malt and some spice. Clearly a lager, but I wasn’t sure it was a Vienna. Dry finish, but there is some sweetness in the flavor. Not bad for cheap beer from a can.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 badgerben (4092) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - DEC 20, 2007
Thanks to Akevitt for sharing this one. Dark copper color with a thin head. Slightly grainy aroma. The taste manages to be both sweet and bitter grains. A very small pinch of cinnamon.

Yes Virginia, Christmas does come in a can, especially a 12-oz can when shared by akevitt. Pours a clear dark amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has some spotty lacing and a slow dissipation. Aroma of slightly roasted caramel malt, some flowery hops, some slight raisin, and wheat bread. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with a slight metallic texture with flavors of caramel malt and some mild bitterness. Finish is slight metallic with a mild bitter and caramel aftertaste.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 RSRIZZO (1634) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - DEC 2, 2007
Had this beer on 6/1/2000. Aroma is very faint with a hint of roasted malt. Color is a bright clear amber with light carbonation and head. Taste is sharp, crisp and bitter. Starting with light medium body that goes down with a slightly sharp malt feel. Finish is a lightly sweet malt flavor backed by a very mild bitterness. Its not what I think of when I think of a Christmas Beer.
