Amber with a thick creamy head and a delicate, but nice malt smell. The flavor was of malt and carmel. A well-balanced, highly drinkable, good tasting vienna.

Aged for a few years: Pours a muddy dark copper with some off-white bubbles. Aroma is lightly skunked, but still has a lot of sweet, chocolatey caramel malt and dark fruity complexity. Starts with lots, of sugary malt, dark fruits and decent complexity. This is probably 2+ years old, but has held up well.

Nice color. A little skunky with a boring tobacco like aftertaste. Wont buy again

A friend of mine had a few selections of this beer and generously shared a couple with me. I thought it was an odd combination of a belgian style ale and a bottle of liquified dried fruit (well then it wouldn't be dried fruit anymore would it) maybe reconstituted dried fruit. At any rate, it wasn't too bad, I think it was an old bottle that doesn't age well... poured nicely with a large pink head and a ruby colored body, decent flavor of oak and malts. Hmm, interesting.

330 ml bottle (2008 4,7%). Clear, dark amber body with a big, foamy beige head. Aroma is light roasted malt and caramel. Flavor is sweet, slightly roasted malt, caramel and a balanced bitterness. Quite light and a short aftertaste, but definitively tasty and nice balanced. This is the best Norwegian wannabe Christmas beer.

Tusen takk to Silje from Drammen for the six pack! ;) The beer was clear brown with generous eggshell color foam. In the aroma and flavor I got caramel and roasted malt, and some christmas spices. The spices came out more in the aroma than the flavor. Slight bitter finish.

Thanks to akevitt for sharing. Pours a clear brown body with red hue and off-white head. Head is foamy, but laces nicely. Spicy aroma with a very bock-like body. Finishes clean.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 snzcujo (274) - RUSSIA - JAN 12, 2013
Tasted from the bottle, on 12/01/2013.
Pours of amazing ruby brown, with a healthy foam, which has an ok retention.
Aroma is of candy sugar, spices, mostly cloves and coriander, with faint honey notes in the end.
Taste is overly sweet, honey character dominates, topped with different spices.
Aftertaste is a bit tart.
Worth to try.
