1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Rune (4922) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 14, 2009
500ml can from Centra Colosseum, Oslo. Shared with Eva while eating Thai-food for dinner. Clear golden. Rapidly collapsing white head. Mild pale malty to the nose. Grainy flavour mixed with a light touch of lemon. The aftertaste remains light and quite dry. Thin in the mouth. Soft carbonated with lager smoothness on the swallow. A neutral partner to the food (Tromsø, 13.06.2009).
1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 gunnar (2628) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2009
50Cl can. Pours clear golden, a tad darker than the average Norwegian lager, with a moderate frothy white head. Weak aroma ,fruity. Taste is almost the same, no offence seems to be the slogan here.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Beer3000 (3094) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 22, 2009
500 ml can. Golden body with a decent white head. Aroma is mild malty/grain and that it. Flavor is plain, weak malty with some kind of fruitiness. Not offending by any other way than it’s just another mainstream pilsner without any goal except for making a new box design. Quite aggressive CO2 level and no aftertaste.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 KnutAlbert (4587) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 25, 2009
Canned. I mixed up this and their anniversary beer, so this is thre right rating.
thin and watery. Some sweet malt and a solid helping of paper/carboard. No hops detectable.
At last another pale lager for the Norwegian market, we have needed thisfor some time now...

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Sigmund (3705) - Hafrsfjord, NORWAY - FEB 7, 2009
Sample from 500 ml can, Aass Brewery stand at Smak 09. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, low head. Minimal aroma, just a slight fruitiness. Bland flavour, a little pilsener malts and butterscotch, minimal bitterness. Are "the youth segment" of the Norwegian pale lager market happy now?
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 14, 2009
Can, 4.7%. Grainy aroma. Clear yellow colour. Very small white head. The flavour is very watery, it tastes like a low alcohol beer. Low bitterness.
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 OleR (3639) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 25, 2009
500 ml can. Mediumsized white head. Golden colored body. Limited aroma of sweetish grain. Sugary malt flavor. Bitterness next to nothing. Thin-bodied, sticky texture. Sugar in the finish. Poor stuff.
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20 ClubGonzo (1943) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 12, 2010
Pours a regular pale lager body with a short-lived white head. Smell is cooked veggies, dusty hops and hints of cardboard. Taste is a grainy, mushy mix of sweet pale malts, corn, cereals and metallic hints. Far too sweet and not very drinkable. In other words, Aass Øl is your typical low-quality industrial lager.
