3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Roren (2) - ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2005 does not count
This is easily the best pils I have come across in Norway. Good use of hops makes for a really tasty brew, although I recommend getting it brewery fresh as it does not necessarily age very well.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 joergen (13935) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 2, 2005
Yellow colour with a smalll white head. Aroma dominated by hops, with notes of malt and metal.
Boring taste dominated by hops.
I’m amazed, that this beer, is rated so high, it’s one of the most boring beer’s I’ve ever had. Standard norwegian pilsner.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Terminus (2538) - Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA - DEC 12, 2004
bottle-pours a nice orange hue that is slightly darker than most pils of this type. a good looking brew! noble hops, haygrass, and a slight skunk aroma. flavors mimic the aroma for the most part, but the skunk is not as present than the aroma suggests. not bad, but not great
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 hotstuff (3213) - Indiana, USA - AUG 25, 2004
Bottle. Very small white head with small-very large sized bubbles that quickly dissipated. Fast rising carbonation, somewhat hazy and a dark yellow hue. The aroma was malty and sweet. The flavor was malty and hops. Slightly tingly mouthfeel. No lacing.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 thedm (4116) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 25, 2004
This bottled brew poured a very small head of fine to large sized mostly lasting white colored bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body was a carbonated hazy brownish yellow. The aroma was slightly barnyard with malty and brown beer notes. The mouth feel was smooth with a slight strange hop bite that lingered in the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops grass and was slightly off and undesirable. Hmmm another green bottle. Ya figure?
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 thegreenrooster (2438) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 4, 2004
Pours a cloudy yellow. This brew looks more like a hefe than a pilsner. Aroma is hoppy and there is 0 head. Flavor is oily and thick. You get the flavor of hops but the skunkyness overwhelms. There are better out there.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 willblake (2587) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - MAR 14, 2004
Can courtesy of Norwegian (Bergen) roommate, 05/00. Pale golden, quite clear and clean looking, fizzy carbonation and foamy head (fades). Saazy, malty, dry finish, not to bitter...Uninspired but refreshingly crisp and quaffable.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Dalle (1145) - Skørping, DENMARK - FEB 12, 2004
Light golden with sad head. Oily-maltiness, soft, nothing unpleasent about it - but it could use a bit more of everything!!!
