Aass Uten has been thoroughly tested and tasted with a very convincing result. Aass Uten is excellent with food or as a thirst quencher with its pure, fresh taste, but remember to serve it cold from the fridge. Brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot, solely of malts, hops, yeast and water.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2007 Shiny golden with a thin white head. Sweet bready and grainy aroma. Sweet-flavored as well, but a decent amount of hops saves it from the drain. Short dry finish.

[Bottle] Pale golden colour. Rich, fluffy head. Dry, bitterish aroma, with notes of plug-hole. Bit fruity in flavour, kind of like canned fruits. Empty is the word.

Very nice for a non-alcohol beer. Well hopped, but too much sweetness underneath. Like chewing barley fresh from the field.

Medium head of white, coarse lace; clear, yellow body. Aroma of nice floral hops with some notes of straw and metal. This, mostly clean taste, with lots of hops and some caramel, straw, and water. Nicely dry finish. Excellent for a non-alcoholic beer. For a pilsener it’s decent, but with too little malts.

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2007 Bottle. At first eye-sight it looks fine, but there’s actually chunks of something floating in the beer! Golden in color with white head. Aroma is some grainy malt, but not specially pleasant. The grainy aroma is also present in their pilsner, but there it is in the background. Sweet, grainy taste. Some hops at the end. A real drain-pour. (051016)

Bottled. Pale golden, rich head. Aroma of menthe and raisin. Sweet and soft with some grassy hops. I’ve had worse N/A beers.

(Bottle). "Uten" is Norwegian for "without" - this is a beer without alcohol. Looks OK, golden colour, good thick head. Malty sweet aroma that becomes sickly as the beer warms up. Tastes as if it's made from a little malts, a little hops and lots of contaminated water from an industrial waste dump. Avoid!
