bierkoning (5077), La Tropica, Netherlands Mar 30, 2005 A bit of malt and a hint of cherry in the aroma and flavor. Looks like a pilsener, must be an ale bcause of the fruity character (orange and cherry). Somewhat sticky and low on hopbitterness.
JorisPPattyn (4642), Antwerpen, Belgium Mar 25, 2007 For the record, my bottle claims 5% ABV only Huge, vanishing off-white head over old gold beer. Vanilla and frangipane, initially a bit oppressive nose, later toasted notes, very malty, more than just pale malt. A bit grassy. Pineapple flavour, a bit grassy, and further a jumble of malts. Light to medium bodied, not empty. The toasted malts leave a long lingering flavour. Strange beer. It’s got some top-fermenting streaks, but I’m still convinced this is bottom-fermented, really. And brewed in Germany. caesar (2654), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Aug 21, 2006 Clear yellow, short white head. Aroma of hop, grass and straw, some malt. Malty and bitter taste. It’s more of a classic german pilsener. MiP (6337), Flensburg, Germany May 12, 2006 Bottle. BB April 05, 13 months ago. Almost clear golden colour. Fizzy, unstable white head. Mild, malty flavour, a bit sweet. Rough carbonation. Rather mild beer, but nicely balanced.
