UPDATED: OCT 6, 2008 bouteille, cidre mousseux agréable sans grande distinction, beaucoup de pomme, pas de grande finesse, rien d’exceptionel.

From 750 ml bottle at the Montreal YeHa! 2005. As I drifted off towards blissful sleepy nirvana, this huge sparkler kissed me good night, with hazy amber colors, farmy lightly alcoholic nose, and a body of booze, dried sweet apples and other rich fruits, dried pears and raisins among them resting in a thick, acidic, champagne body....I will revisit you soon, master cider makers from the cold abbey to the north!

Robe blonde très pâle et très claire. Gazéification fine. La pomme est très présente. Pointes sûres. L’alcool suit et des épices apparaissent. La pomme reste présente.

Bottled. Pale Gold with added carbonation. Sold as a bit of a special in my local posh off licence, how could I resist? In the end a fairly standard Normandy type cider, acidic, green skin but heavier on the alcohol. Overwhelming carbonation for me, but a decent try.

Clear golden color, fizzy, champagne-like head. Powerfull and acidic aroma of apples. Assertive, acidic and dry flavor of apples. Fruity finish. My second cider and although not as good as Dupont Réserve it’s still very good, a nice discovery.

Very exciting - plastic cork exploded off the bottle and cider errupted skywards. When finally coralled into a glass, it has the look of a sparkling wine or champagne. Clear, golden with no head but lots of bubbles. Sweet apples in the nose contrast nicely with the very tart and dry flavour. Strong carbonation is exciting on the tongue. Bottle enjoyed with beerbuzzmontreal, MartinT, Rastacouere and a gang of bierophoux.

Pale yellow, clear, huge carbonation foyer in the middle of the glass (which, mind you, was a large snifter that may not have been ideal for a sparkling cider). Big dry apples aroma, light must, elegant and straightforward. Creamy apples strike on the top of the tongue and the passage toward the huge dryness is made in virtuous harmony, white wine like. Drinkable, skinny, clean. Carbonation left my glass a bit fast to my liking, but this was a very enjoyable cider.
