Licht troebel geel bier met schuim. Smaak is krachtig, licht zoetzuur met sporen van citrus. Gedronken de versie van juni 2015.

Cloudy golden body, medium white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, bread, fruits, light alcohol. Flavours of bread, alcohol, spices, fruits like apricot. Warm sweet medium finish. Feels unbalanced at first, but it’s ok with food.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2015 From tap at CASPAR, Arnhem. Aroma of bready malt, fruits, some citrus, sugar, light yeast, apples, hoppy notes. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a light to moderate bitter finish. Hint of alcohol noticeable, this is a heavy beer. Body is medium to full. Decent Belgian Strong Ale, but overall unremarkable and a bit sweetish.

Restrained aroma in a golden pour. Unmistakenly a Tripel - but nothing to write home about. Manages to disguise its strength well - probably ’too’ well to be honest. Local (NZ) examples are better.

Bottle. Hazy yellow pour with a lot of floating sediment and a white head. Aroma is citrus with some spices and a little bready. Taste is some sweet citrus and bready notes, dry and slightly spicy finish. Nice.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2015 Mooi blond, licht troebel bier. Uitgesproken bloemig aroma. Geur van vanille, honing. Zeer romig en vol van smaak met licht bittere afdronk.

Quite nice blond beer, but not as good as expected from a strong belgian ale. The appearance is not very appealing.

Bottle served in a ln Augustijn chalice. Beautiful medium sized snow white head and a hazy yellow body underneath, good start score! The aroma is quite cliche for this Belgian style beer: many yeasty tones with fruity esters, sweet ish malts and grains and some herbal tints. The flavour is very typical too but (with 10%ABV it is) without faults, and the creamy boat it sails the Belgian sea of beer on makes it a beer that’s absolutely better than many other Belgians beers in this style. The aftertaste is marked by again the yeasty tone with some fruity tones. Together with some bitters and herbal malty tones it’s a good one. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel and more than medium bodied. No traces of glue, alcohol, nail polish or clay. Very well done!

Gebrouwen tijdens volle maan... gedronken tijdens volle maan.. Fris zurig (citrus) achtig aroma. Mooie gouden kleur prachtig diep. Verassend goed!

Bottle, bought @Det Bette ølhus. Pours murky pale yellow with a small, staying, creamy white head. Aroma has sweet malts, vinious, doughy, esters, green apple. Low to medium carbonation, fat and oily mouthfeel. Flavour has good maltiness, vinious, green apple. Doughy malts. Simple.
