Bottled. Clear redbrown color, thick rocky off-white head. Aroma is malty, quite fruity of some prune and cherry pits, slight spicy. Slight sweet taste, slight sirupy, fruity again. Bit dry palate. Thin double, with quite some fruitiness, though not sticky sweet.

Nov 28, 2008 750ml. Weak of body and light in aroma. Hazy brown body. Average-sized, fizzy, light brown head. The aroma has hints of caramel, toast, coriander and citrus. The flavor is moderately swet and light bitter. The finish is dry and lightly bitter and lightly sweet. Light to medium body with a watery texture. Lively carbonation. Just OK.

Nov 17, 2008 Bottle shared with JCB and some Carolina folks. Odd metallic and stewed tomato notes... WTF? Mostly reminiscent of rotten tomato juice and malt. Not sure what’s going on here.

Oct 31, 2008 Dark brown pour, fairly weak looking with a thin body whose relative lack of abundance is a bad sign. Sure enough,I found the beer a bit too weak and thin for my taste. Rather than the sweet play of malts, fruits, and mild hops I want in a dubbel, this one’s got the flavor of ripe bananas on the downsid. Average, unspectacular.

Oct 31, 2008 Thanks JCB for sharing. Pours a lightly translucent brown with ruby highlights. Has a 1-2 finger creamy tan head. The nose is sweet, raisiny, malty, has light caramel tones, rusty/meaty, tomato? Flavor has some fruity esters, meaty/rusty dubbel feel, tomato, lightly earthy. Sweep and carbonated mouthfeel.
