Pours a dark but clear brown that shows ruby when held to light with a tan head from an aggressive pour. Nose is slightly perfume like with a bit of a sugar presence and a stronger touch of yeast. Flavor is fruity with a touch of wood in there. Extremely doughy with an almost flour edge to it. Just seems like taking a bite out of very undercooked bread. Feel is standard stuff. I didn’t really like this one. Way too doughy and way off. I wonder if it was a bad bottle.

Bottle. [Courtesy of yespr, thanks buddy] Average creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Light cloudy light brownish colour. Aroma of ice tee peach, yeast, fruit, grain. Over the palate came brown sugar, caramel, sweet fruit and light toasted malt. Quit nice Abbey Dubbel I thought. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour light bitter and acidic. Sweet caramel like finish.

Dark brown colour, generous beige head. Aroma is of sweet malt, some caramel and fruits. Flavour is of raisins, some caramel. Could use more carbonation to give it a tangy edge.

bottle 33cl.

Bottle from Beer Planet. Dark brown malty body with poppy tan head. Nose of caramel and malts. Taste also, malty and sweet. Watery but smooth texture. Warms up in the finish and gets sweet. Pretty good.
