Little cloudy reddish purple beer, big aery yellowish head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, red fruits, bit sourish, caramel, sugary. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, lots of caramel, dried fruits, bit roasted, bit of milk chocolate. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, lots of dried fruits and overripe banana. Decent but not great.

Poured dark reddish brown with an off white head. Aroma of caramel malt and some spiced fruit. Medium body, flavour as the aroma, toffee sweetness.

Bottle at the Essen OBER Kerstbierfestival 2013. Poured a deep mahogany with a broken off white head. The aroma is big toffee caramel with a zesty bubbly toffee malt palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottle sample at Essen Kerstbierfestival. Pours hazy brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of dough, bread and caramel. Flavour is light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Big fudge and toffee aspects coming out in the palate. Medium to full bodied with moderate prickly carbonation.

Sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Clear deep dark red color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly sweet, a touch of herbs or spices. Medium to full body, medium carbonation.

Swaroga (2111) - Gdańsk, POLAND - NOV 24, 2013
75cl bottle. Hazy dark brown with huge, tanned head. NOSE : cooked fruits, licorice, toffee, dried fruits like raisins and figs. burned malts, cheesy yeast aromas. Lactic notes. SIP : oily texture with moderate carbonation. Medium body. Sweet malty beginning with burned and yeasty background. Fruity middle with spiced clove and licorice. More spices further on which mixes with appearing hop aromas. The beer is delicately bitter, sweetness is dominating till the end. Aftertaste is earthy and spicy. Sweet coffee with milk like aftertaste. OVERALL : tasty and well balanced. Nice discovery.

Aroma is toffee, not much else. Appearance brown in colour with nice tan head. Taste is super - spices, grapes, caramel, toffee. Palate is caramel-like, thick and rich. The tastes hang into the palate. Overall, quite sweet, but not too much!
