maeib (4106), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Nov 15, 2005 Bottled at the Chris O Beer, Cheese and Curry powwow. A hazy, lifeless blonde coloured beer. The aroma is sweet and alcoholic with a bizarre but not unpleasant chocolate note. The taste is a little sickly and cloying. Over-sweet and no real tripel style to it. Unfortunate.
JoeinUccle (716), Brussels, Belgium Oct 17, 2008 Bottle pours a clear gold, even a bit pale, nice lacy white head. Sweet and grainy aroma without much fruity ester activity. Mildly sweet flavor, light maltiness, mild bitterness, sparkling mouthfeel on lively caronation. Finishes dry. Not very exciting stuff for its strength. Make it lower in alcohol and I could drink a bunch of it, but otherwise I don’t see how this beer would fit into my life. jimhilt (1469), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Sep 7, 2008 Cork gets blown off and it takes forever to pour a white head that fades very slowly to a thin layer, leaving a good lace. Almost clear amber color. Very good carbonation and medium bodied. Dry malty nose. Flavor is sweet but citric with spices. Smooth. $9.99 for a 750ml bottle from Manchester Wine and Liquors Manchester, CT. Best by May 6, 2008. faroeviking (4582), Faroese Autonomous Beer Republic, Denmark Aug 12, 2008 Botella, thanks to el señor Lobo (thewolf). Clear golden, small white head, fair lacing. Bit sweet and fruity malty aroma. Sweet mildly bitter and malty flavour with fruits and some yeast. thewolf (4146), Kolding, Denmark Aug 10, 2008 Bottle, bought @ Pivni Gallerie, Prague.<br />
Pours a clear, pale golden with a small, frothy, off-white film head. Aroma is grainy, some yeast and a touch of lime. Fine frothy mouthfeel. Flavour is soft, lightly tart with some oranges. Quite fine beer, but nothing exceptional. AmEricanbrew (1137), Swamp Shreveport, Left Coast, Louisiana, USA Jul 27, 2008 Heylissum Tripel is clear gold with a rocky white head. Great dry peppercorn, salty, dusty pale malt aroma. Light frothy mouthfeel. Simple, straight forward flavors of dusty pale malts with a spicy, yeasty finish. 75cl bottle with a 5/30/2008 drink by date.
