Clear garnet with a fleeting head. Mild aroma is sweet earthy malts with molasses and rootbeer spice. Medium body. Nice earthy, yeasty dubble ale flavors with molasses, rootbeer spice. No hint of the 9% abv. Good dubble here.

33cl bottle. Pours ruby/amber with beige head. Aroma is grainy, roasted / malt. Taste is malty, dark fruits, candi sugar, with good presence of the 8% abv.

Bottle. Clear medium brown color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, light hoppy, moderate to light heavy yeasty, anis. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (060408)
