Pours a transparent dark copper with a nicely-lacing dark tan head. Aroma of sweet doughy yeast and dark caramel malt with some light fruity esters. Body starts with good thickness and malty sweet notes along with some doughy yeast toward a pretty full finish. A little dark for a trippel, but has nice flavor.

Ottima ottima davvero! Si sentenono molto i malti, decisamente dolce e con un buon odore frutato! Molto frizzante! Finale non troppo duraturo!

Found it on the bottom shelf of the cooler in a random assed liquor store. 750ml corked and caged botle. "Best before" 03/10/07.
It pours a hazy brown with a foamy off-white head that dissipates with no lacing.
The smell is tutti-fruity like some Belgina dark ales, along with some caramel.
The flavor is big and sweet. Tons of caramel. The yeast is pretty prevalent as well. There is some earthiness.
Not bad for being past its best by date.

750ml. bottle purchased at Mesa Liquor & Wine, San Diego, CA. Pours a dark red/brown, moderate carbonation and a medium tan head. Aroma is dark malt, Belgian yeast, and brown sugar/molasses. Taste is sweet malt, some chocolate, dark candy sugar and slightly bitter. Finish is warm and bitter. Decent ale.

Bottle from Beer Mania. Dark brown body with mild head. Nose of malts, spices and wheats. Taste is quite strong, malty, with chocolate notes. Bitter finish. Quite enjoyable.

Botella en Avnø. Clear dark brown, beige head. Aroma of dark malts, dark fruits and yeast. Good mouthfeel. Sweet flavour, dark malts, dark fruits, yeast, spice. Sweet dark malty dark fruity finish.

A: poured into a snifter. pours a rich mahogany that has a light brown head. great carbonation with this one.
S: reminds me of a Unibroue. A lot of apple and spices in the nose.
T: I love Belgium. tastes of fall....spices, apples and pears.
M: clean and crisp. leaves the mouth moist and warm.
D: very good, both smooth and crisp. Definitely worth a try if you can find it.

Bottle, pretty warm around 60F, nice caramel toned foam, nice lacing. Strong aroma of apple, fig. Warming alcohol taste dominates, smokey caramel, toasted malt flavor. Very full mouthfeel, a bit cloying, long sweet finish. Ultra deep red color, very clear, attractive brew.
