Bottled. Aroma has caramel malts, some raisin/dark fruitiness. Hazy, brown coloured with a thin, beige head. Taste is sweet, caramel malty, bit metallic, some raisin/fruitiness.

Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, light hoppy, moderate to light heavy yeasty, anis. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (060408)

Apr 2, 2008 Pour is hazed opaque burgundy brown with a thin light brown head...smell is musty and sweet with lots of rye/pumpernickel going on...musty dark earth fruits too...taste is dirty dust and musty stuff...like a giant raisin that was covered with dirt and you washed it down with some underattenuated strong ale...
