Hazy, deep golden. Huge, rocky, white head.
Warm and sweet spiciness with sourish green apples.
Oak and cedar. ekstedt (1739), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 4, 2008 Bottle (33 cl) at Kulminator, Antwerp, Belgium. This never-heard-of triple poured hazy amber with a large off-white head into my glass. A complex earthy malt aroma with notes of yellow apples, butterscotch, wood, and some barnyard emerged from the glass. The mouthfeel was very soft, with a light prickling carbonation. Very well balanced with a dry but somewhat too short finish. A highly pleasant surprise.
