Goed biertje voor eens door te drinken, niet onvergeetelijk, maar je gaat geen spijt hebben als je het probeerd

Bottle from the BBW a few years back. It was a crystal clear gold with a nice enough medium body and smooth to slick mouthfeel. The taste was a typical fruity belgian blonde. While good enough it was a pretty average belgian.

’Non-authentic’ abbey beer with a stable, sticky, snowy white head and a misty golden blonde colour. Nose grainy, apple, orange peel, grassy hops, white pepper, perhaps a hint of thyme. Fresh beginning, crisp, dry fruitiness, citrussy, lots of carbon dioxide, mineral-like, sour apple, malty sweetishness, medium long, grassy hop bitter finish. .

33cl bottle from Gouwen Aar. Gusher but not a bad one. Hazy blond pour. Thick creamy white head. An ok blond. Pity about the gushing

BB 20/06/14. Upon pouring, the white foam filled the 20cm tall glass to the rim and retained (ie collapsed slowly). It produced a clear pale straw coloured liquid that laced well. Low carbonation with very small bubbles. Visually unappealing. Aroma very malty. Taste slightly sweet with light spices and an unpleasant biting tartness that lingers on the tongue for a long time. Light body. Slightly sour finish.

Hazy golden with a medium sized white head. The nose is herbs, flowers, dough and honey. Medium body, moderate carbonation, thin texture. Lightly sweet. Palate increases feelings of herbs, pepper and flowers.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes goldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, malzig süß, leicht würzig. Geschmack leicht hefig, fruchtig malzig, Gewürze, blumig.

BOTTLE 33CL. Look: clear golden (with yeast sediment) with a big ivory creamy head with good retention. Aroma: yeast, delicate fruit, herbal hops, some Belgian spice, some acetaldehyde, meaty. Taste: mostly dry, slight sweetness, herbal hops, light-to-medium bitterness, some traces of meaty broth here too. Quite a nice Belgian blond.
