SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy Jun 11, 2008 Bottle: Poured a golden color with an off white head. Aroma is fruity. The taste is soft fruits with rich malt and a slight bitter hops. Very balanced from start to finish, left my mouth dry ready for more. bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA Jun 4, 2008 33 cl. bottle at Delirium Pub. Light fruity aroma. Gold color with a sort of lacing white head. Medium body with light carbonation. Lightly fruity with minimal bitter. Enough to balance. It drinks incredibly well. Refreshing. Goes down a treat. Lunkie (1020), Glen Iris, Australia Jun 1, 2008 Sweet malt hop aroma. Cloudy amber colour with great head and lacing. Malt hop flavour with floral aftertaste. Smooth palate. Muggus69 (500), Sydney, Australia May 22, 2008 330ml bottle, served chilled. Hazy golden body, big white head. Fruity aroma, apples and pears, citrus and peach, some pepper and clove with cereal maltiness. Moderate carbonation, slightly prickly, body verging on being quite rich and cloying. Sweet maltiness with clove and pepper, some stonefruitiness in there, finishes dry. Pretty nice, probably a bit below par with most Belgian blonds though. rsamayoa (24), San Salvador, El Salvador May 18, 2008 Bottle: Huge head!, starts peachy, sweet and fruity. Cloves lining and spicey dies down mid bottle and ends a bit flat. Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador May 9, 2008 Thanks to ghawener. Drank it at pollo’s house. Pours a very light golden color, with a big white head, you need the right glass. Very spicey of cloves and a lot of pepper. Very dry almost salty. ghawener (952), San Salvador, El Salvador May 9, 2008 Bottle: Huge head!, starts peachy, sweet and fruity. Cloves lining and spicey dies down mid bottle and ends a bit flat. FatPhil (3446), Espoo, Finland Apr 14, 2008 330ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki)
Light corn and muesli aroma. Slightly yeasty, which spoilt the palate a bit - not the most pleasant yeast I’ve ever encountered. Fairly middle-of-the-road Belgian ale, and certainly not special. However, there was a certain je-ne-sais-quoi which made it very enjoyable despite the few flaws.
