Val-Dieu Brown Abbey Pours muddy brown with ruddy edges. Nice long lasting tan head. Aroma of raisins, figs, plums, the whole gamut of darker fruits with a beefy malt backbone. Smells divine. Flavor is much the same with a thick mouthfilling malt body. Well hidden alcohol. I call it the fruity darkness. Yum!

Bottle from Beer Mania. Murky yellow body with thin, poppy head. Nose of citrus, malt. Taste is sweet, bitter and quite in your face. Warms and gets fruitier in the finish.
