Dark brown with a fine, frothy beige head. Aroma had yeast and an array of fruits. Taste was very satisfying: fruity sourness and malty sweetness combining well. Could have done with a little more bitterness, but overall yet another wonderful Abbey Dubbel.

Beers of europe. What can i say i love dubbels, and heres another great bad boy to put me to sleep for the nite. Aroma of malty, dark fruits with some cashew nuts in there. Taste is similar with some great flavours kicking about, increadably easy to drink with a long sweetish finish to coat the mouth nicely. Excellent, though could keep its head better.

A dark brown ale with a thick light moka head, and huge floaties. Pleasant aroma of chocolate, soya sauce, and café moka. In mouth, a very nice roastiness, molasses, and plums, surprising. Medium bodied. BB 26-10-2006.

33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ May 07. Dark brown with a lacy beige head and large yeast flakes at the bottom. Nose of nuts, fermented fruits (plums, pears) and some a bit rancid hop notes. A quite soft, light fruity taste - lacking some backbone - with a gentle touch of dark malts and a light bitter aftertaste. Good, smooth body; very prickling.
