leaparsons (3878), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Jan 16, 2005 Very dark brown with a nice beige head. Aromas are winter fruit, banana and spices. - quite sweet. Flavours are malty and fruity, especially banana and cherries. Dry cherries on the finish. A touch overcarbonated. Quite nice but I prefer my dubbles with more roast character.
DruncanVeasey (1612), Burbage, Leicestershire, England Jun 26, 2008 Deep ruby pour rocky with beige. Marzipan and rubber aroma, with sticky dark fruit and candy sugar. Sweet and boozy with the merest hints of roast and yeast extract. Sodden with marzipan, but more palatable than the Blonde. Sub-standard, overly boozy bruin.
