Ungstrup (11406), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 29, 2005 A hazy red-brown beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol and spices - especially coriander, and so is the flavor. On my tastebuds this is a clone of a brune and a blonde - it has the looks of a brune, but the flavor of a blonde.
fonefan (4888), Ulfborg, Denmark Sep 8, 2008 Bottle 33cl @ home. Clear dark dark brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, brown sugar, raisin - dryed plum notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (040708) DruncanVeasey (1741), No. 46, Leicestershire, Germany Jun 26, 2008 Deep ruby pour rocky with beige. Marzipan and rubber aroma, with sticky dark fruit and candy sugar. Sweet and boozy with the merest hints of roast and yeast extract. Sodden with marzipan, but more palatable than the Blonde. Sub-standard, overly boozy bruin. KimJohansen (4299), Copenhagen V, Denmark Feb 10, 2008 [Tasting @ yespr] Hazy brown with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with ripe fruits and roasted malt.
