Countbeer (2921) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - AUG 5, 2011
Bottle: Small off white head, that disappears quick into a lacing, on top of a clear orange colored beer. Smell is dominated by malts, with some hints of fruits, nuts, sweets and yeast. Taste is a mix of malts, spices, hops, yeast, bitter Malty bitter aftertaste. Low carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, low to medium body and a light creamy texture.

Apart from being rather watery there is a boring and unbalanced alcoholic taste. In my opinion an insult to Belgian Ale and the craftsmanship which is normally involved in it’s production. An overall very flat beer-expierence.

Poured in my trusty NB snifter/wine-type glass. Golden amber with a small white head that does not last but a few seconds. No lacing. Looks decent minus the poor head retention. Starts off with malty and caramel aromas, finished up with cara aromas. Little bit of hops seems to be there, but this thing may be screwing with me. Sweet, but not too sweet. Although it starts getting to be too sweet at the end. Little bit of artificial taste, but not overpowering, but still distracting. Almost thin, but not quite. A little more viscosity might save this one, but that’s asking way too much. Leaves a weird aspartame taste in the mouth. Not too drinkable. But for 2.50 euros a sixer it’s better than Bud Light.
