Abbaye de St Landelin Blonde is a beer with fruity taste, marrowy and with a fine and delicate flavour. It is light thanks to the long period of warming.

Pours okay, not great, light head, boring looking, soapy head as well. Smells like moldy underpants, grass and cow patties and maybe just a few hops in between the butt cheeks. Taste is a good mix of bread and syrup, caramel and malts, well balanced if a little simplified.

Bottle ( 750ml-corked & caged ). Shared with blankboy and garthicus, via trade with tomthompson. Clear amber pour with an average, frothy off-white head. Light fruity aroma (apple, hint of pear), some sweet plonk and alcohol. Taste - same - fruity, sweet, mildly yeasty, a bit dry. Light-bodied, a bit flat, with a quick sweet finish. Nothing special, but very drinkable.

With thanks to HogTownHarry for sharing with Blankboy and I. Appearance: Nice golden body with a reasonably sized white head, pretty good visible carbonation. Aroma: Mild yeast aroma at first, a little lemon and a tiny bit of pepper. Flavour: Nicely carbonated with a good amount of lemon zest, some pepper and a nice long yeast finish. Harry said "good with food" and I agree it would be pretty solid with a meal.

Salty and mineral notes to the sweet and musty pear-like fruitiness in the nose. Brilliantly clear golden body is topped by a generous, fine bubbled white head that recedes to a lasting cover and coats the sides of the glass with lacing. Quite fruity in flavour but also sharp and dry. Sweetness comes out only in the aftertaste along with some grassy hop character. Medium body is quite dry with very strong carbonation that prickles the tip of the tongue. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (BB 28-05-08) purchased through Bièropholie in Jun-07.

Aroma of pears, malt and yeast, hazy apricot, pours a small, firm and lasting white head. Flavour of pears, yellow plums, fine malt, with hints of orange as well. Medium bodied, well balanced, delightfully sweet, but warming for only 6.5% Good stuff!

Draught Very (cold)hazy orange beer, with fluffy off-white head. Malt, and even expressly barley grain, parsley. Sweet taste, pinch of DMS, and a little saltiness, as well as some obvious caramel. Light to medium bodied, quite fizzy. Very plain beer, even when nothing fundamentally wrong. However, compared to the original St. Landelin from Crespin...

Clear dark golden with medium short lasting off white head. Sweet aroma with flower and fruity notes. Sweet fruity flavor with spicy notes. Ends slightly bitter.
