500ml bottle pours dark brown color with a 2 finger tan head that retains well and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted and chocolate malts with some floral hops. Taste is roasted malty bitterness with some chocolate malty sweetness and some nuttiness going on with an earthy hop bitterness. Medium to full body and ample carbonation present a pleasing sensation on the palate. A nice and tasty brown ale.

I had a dream, amd in this dream i was floating gently down a river of milk chocolate. when i got thirsty i could just dip a cup into the river and out came a beer that was chocolaty and malty. that beer flowed gently down my throat just as i wafted down the river. then i came to my senses and realizee i was drinking Abbaye de St Landelin Brown. Boy was I happy! the ruby brown body with a thin tan head allowed aromas of malty sweetness and some gentle esters to breeze up to my nose. the smooth, almost milk-like body had no carbonation making this a gentle ride. I cant wait to go on another river trip like this one.
