Nate (2254), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 26, 2004 Raisin, plum, clove and ginger, some other Christmas spices, reminding me of a spicy Christmas candle. Sweet and spicy. Dark amber clear with thin off-white lacing head. Light-medium watery body with light soft carbonation. Aroma fools you into thinking that this is a rich, complex beer. Taste is pretty weak and watery. Starts with light sweetness and malt, with nondescript spicy tones. No acidity. Finish is mild sweet and some bitterness. It’s well balanced, but just lacks any substance. After is malty, a little nutty, with maybe some clove.
