Copper amberish colour topped with a dense white foam. Quite harmonious and well-integrated aroma of mild pepper, dried oranges, anise, rose-petals, over-riped apples and yeast. Darker flavorwave of caramel, fudge, nuts, mild licorice, canned mandarin, brown sugar, almond and yeast. Smooth is a bit light mouth feel. Ends yeasty and sweet with notes of fudge, nuts and mild anise. Pretty nice one.

Nov 26, 2008 The aroma is sweet with cardboard, yeast, and malt. The appearance is golden amber with a nice foamy head. The taste is like the aroma but too sweet. The mouth feel is thin. Overall this is not what I expected from a seasonal beer. It’s way too weak and watery and there is nothing special about it except it’s too sweet.

Clear amber color, medium-sized steady beige head, some lace. Sweet aroma with redberry, diacetyl and strawberry. Sweetish beer. Toffee, rye, berries, diacetyl and alcohol presence in the flavor. Medium-bodied with quite sticky mouthfeel. Kind of sweet biere de garde. Quite French, Jenlain Bière de Noël is close to this one.

Apr 5, 2008 bottled (thanks omhper!) Amber colour with mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is caramel, citrusfruits, some bitterish hops as well as spices. Flavour is fudge, some grassy hops as well as mild fruityness. Spices comes in the finish and aftertaste, along with strong fudge/caramel notes.
