Clear blond color with dense white head, good lacing and lasting - Aroma is malty, spicy yeasty (Belgian yeast) - same for flavor - Medium body, light bitterness, sweet, highly carbonated, sweet yeasty finish - nothing special but clean

Pours clear gold without foam. Smells simple cereals and yeast. Very basic. Lack of complexity, watery. Shy bitter notes, some plastic and metal aftertaste. Lack of body. Not good.

4€20 six pack 25cl 6.2% A: Honey colored with a soft amber glow, thick white head that piddles out very quickly S: Belg yeast smothered in sweet malt T: Chemical taste, like off oranges possibly the type of hop used but is confusing M: Light body, light carbonation and a rounded slick feel on the palate O: She isn’t pretty, she isn’t strong, she isn’t unique or traditional but for the price and effort, she is better then the blondes available in town.

Clear copper body, white head. Very malty, low on hops, no complexicity, just strong alcohol taste. Not my kind.

Bottle in Paris. Light gold pour with a weak head. Cereal, sugar and caramel malt nose. Sweet flavor, bit more caramel, dough and grains, light grass. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet, sugary finish, hints of wheat. Pretty average stuff, but not bad.

Abbaye de Theleme from Dia supermarket in Marseille. Thin bodied pale beer like a strong pale lager. Dry palate. Faint lactic note. Sugar sweetness. Dirty dusty spiciness. Finishes with a coriander burn. Poor quality but drinkable.

750ml corked bottle, from Paris. Now here’s a beer with good potential; corked 750ml bottle, abbey name, solid abv that puts it into the realm of a Beligan blond or Biere de Garde. Instead, i’m presented with what i’d expect from a beer of 1.29 Euro from a discount French supermarket; rough, overly boozy yet thin, sweet. Very disappointing!

Bottle. Thanks for the gift, Anker. Clear deep golden with a fluffy white head. The aroma is caramel, yeast, fruit and light spice. The flavour is light metallic, yeast, fruit and caramel. Decent blonde.
