Nov 21, 2007 Pours hazy golden with a mostly receding wispy white head. Aroma of banana, tropical fruits, unusual esters for a wit. Taste is lightly sweet, creamy yeast with flowery/fruity notes and a bit of peppery spice in the finish. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Very nice wit, I really liked the estery yeast character.

Aroma is moderate hoppy and yeasty, citrus, spicy, pepper, light malty, wheat, toasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (141107)

Nov 12, 2007 (bottle): Pours a light brown clear color. Big foamy whitish head. Floral aroma, some spices, maybc some grapefruit, but weak overall. Some effervescence. Floral, taste. Fizzy mouthfeel. Light. Spices go well with spicy tacos. Very light, watery taste.

Nov 11, 2007 Hmmm, lots of flavor which I don’t always get from Whites. This one even reminds me of a tripel more so than a white. Sort of spicy too. Like the 6%. Sometimes the big 750s are a handful if they’re too big. Very drinkable. Good Witbier.

Oct 26, 2007 After its release from the 750ml bottle, its sets in the glass a murky orange highlighted copper color with a substantial creamy white head that disappears rather quickly leaving a thick and clinging sheet of lace. Nose is filled with fruit and spices, oranges, bananas, tart apples, coriander, cloves, sweet and tart, clean and refreshing, a pleasure to sniff. Start is sweet and spicy, hints of pepper, at the back a touch of bitterness, and or that “Granny Smith Apple” kind of face puckering tartness, top is medium in feel. Finish has a biting acidity, the hops and spices provide a sweet and sour tangy dry aftertaste, which coats the palate

Oct 14, 2007 Pours a cloudy gold with straw highlights and a long lasting white head. Aroma is on the spicy peppery side of witbiers, definitely sharp like the description says. A bit of hay and grass, maybe coriander, but it’s different than that. It’s bringing back memories of old fashioned spice ropes that I smelled when I was little. Taste is peppery but there’s a significant malt presence that is slightly tart with some wheat and honey. Finishes very clean and smooth with a quick toast flavor, but whatevever aftertaste there is is pleasant. Fairly full for the style, but still light and drinkable. This is a nice big flavorful wit, very complex (as demonstrated by my inability to describe it) and hearty. Excellent.

Oct 13, 2007 Pours and IPA like amber color with nice white head. Hops, yeasty notes and citrus too. Flavor is a bit thin with mild hops and a touch of lemon.
