KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Oct 11, 2007 Bottle. Pours apricot orange with a nice ivory head. Aroma of candied hops, Sprite, and yeast. Flavor is water with slight hops and more water. Average mouthfeel. The flavor is in there somewhere... KimJohansen (6676), Copenhagen V, Denmark Oct 10, 2007 Hazy golden with large head. Aroma has coriander, wheat, orange and yeast. Flavor holds the same. A bit unbalanced and finishes of bitter. Svesse (2597), Hässelby, Sweden Oct 6, 2007 (Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep 2007) Orange/yellow colour with frothy white head. Fruity, spicy nose with apricots and citric wheat aromas. Fruity, citric, spicy taste with notes of orange peel and dried fruit. Rather nice witbier, with slightly more bite than normally in the same style. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA Sep 30, 2007 Hazy, almost murky golden orange. Moderate head with good lacing and retention. Aroma is funky yeast, wheat, some orange notes. Medium bodied, not much for tartness here. Interesting take on it, but I guess I prefer the usual spicing bill. Pastor (509), Maine, USA Sep 30, 2007 bottle poured cloudy orange white head . Aromas of yeast and light fruit
The flavor starts of fruity and ends with a light bitter Capa (952), Yokosuka, Japan Sep 20, 2007 Pousrs hazy golden with a large, creamy, white head. Inviting aroma of spices, yeast, banana, and light fruit. Nice medium body with a bit of a spicy bite, but not overwhelmingly so. Flavor is fruity, banana, yeast, and some spices with a sweet malt background. Light pepper in the finish. Rather enjoyable. JoeinUccle (902), Brussels, Belgium Sep 17, 2007 What a refreshing, flavorful example of the style. 33 cL pours a hazy old gold with a huge, fluffy-lacey head in my tumbler. Sweetish, yeasty aroma with hints of cilantro and faint banana. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly sour and very lightly bitter. Grilled plaintains gone cold, wet sourdough, touch of lemon. Lightly bitter-bready aftertaste. A bit wet, light- to medium-bodied. Looks good, tastes good. HumuloneRed (750), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 17, 2007 750 ml. Bottle. The beer pours a cloudy orange/pale color with a creamy white head and lacing.
The aroma is of the apple and oranges with a mild spicy note as well. The same fruit and spice notes come through to the flavor with a nice tart back ground finish it with a mild bitterness that goes well the the tartness. Well balance spices as well nothing is overdone in this beer.
This is a well made beer.
