With it’s cloudy golden colour and, small airy head it doesn’t look very appetizing, but looks can deceive. There’s a powerful orange peel aroma. It’s sweet with solid, rounded mouthfeel and evident notes of coriander and seville orange. It’s full flavoured, and though rather sweet it steers well clear of becoming sticky, offering a combination of the drinkability and refreshment of a witbier and the complexity and flavour depth of a strong Belgian golden ale. Finsishes soothing almost completely without biterness. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

Aromas of coriander, creme brule, caramel, apple puree, corn, lightly peppered and subtile notes of peaches. Extremely well balanced beer. I’ve never tasted a Witbier with so many flavors. A nice mixed explosion of spices and fruits. Perfect malts and yeasts as are most of the beers from this brewery. Very Satisfied! mephisto (1144), Taiwan

It cheers me that I have another six or seven beers from these guys to track down, because they never disappoint. One endearing characteristic of the brewer is that the beer is always bloody keen to escape. Fortunately I was near a sink when I prised the cap off, with a glass ready for the volcanic stream down the side of the bottle. The beer was muddy orange in colour and as heavy with sediment as the river on the label. Short but enduring head. Lovely tangy citric aroma - tangerines, Cremola foam, coriander and tobacco leaf (?) Very fresh-smelling and inviting, with that lovely house yeast adding something unique. Satisfyingly creamy mouthfeel. The flavour mix is generally tart and mouth-watering, yet the finish is dry. There are notes of Juicy Fruit chewing gum, lemon rind and coriander. This is very easy drinking and refreshing with it. Perfect summer drinking. (33cl bottle from Cloudwine Cellars, Melbourne. Stronger than the average blanche. Cloudy orange/gold with thick pale beige head. Rather an attractive wit, lemony, some spice, some cereal. Good in mouth, soft, but with depth. Finish has tangy lemon. Some more spice. In fact spicey lemon finsh is excellent. Very drinkable, well structured wit.
