Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA Sep 27, 2005 Cloudy orange color with a thick head. Citrusy odor with a lot of spice. Lemon and orange flavor with some coriander and pepper. Good strong witbier. ಠַಠ (1375), San Francisco, California, USA Sep 26, 2005 Bottle. Bright-orange yellow. Floral, cirtic lemon/orange qualities in aroma and appearance. Hoppy and crisp, effrvescent, lasting mouthfeel. Nicely balanced. CampbellWilson (533), Scotland Sep 18, 2005 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Absolutely cracking for a Wit. Dark yellow, almost browny orange. Aroma does contain spice - coriander, curacao, bit of pepper, also some alcohol and uncharacteristic hop. Richer mouthfeel than most of the style, and considerably stronger flavour. Not overly carbonated. Finishes with a little hop kick. Splendid. rickgordon (3285), Göteborg, Sweden Sep 12, 2005 Bottled, sampled at Delirium Café, Göteborg.
Cloudy dark golden. Rich choriander nose. Smooth palate feel, with fruity notes plus choriander. Pretty average Witbier. MAP (1085), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Aug 26, 2005 Found this one randomly at Main St Gourmet in Oxford. First time Ive seen it anywhere, but that closet had it. Nice hazy orange with a nice white head. Real soft yeasty malt and coriander aroma. Flavor is a crisp grassy one. Its got a good blend of orange peel and sugary sweetness. This is a bit strong of a wit, but a damn tastey one. Keeper (164), Milano, Italy Aug 26, 2005 Very particular beer; elevating has an alcoholic tenor much that unfortunately it covers excessive fruit notes.
Good.
Birra particolarissima; ha un tenore alcolico molto elevato che purtroppo copre eccessivamente le note fruttate.
Buona. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Aug 23, 2005 Updated: Mar 22, 2007In the world of wheat ales, my preference is a hefeweizen... but I’ll be jiggered if this doesn’t hit the spot. Cloudy amber color with a lofty, thick & creamy white head, this is one of the spiciest wits that I’ve ever stuck my snout in! Bran flakes with lemon, pepper, cloves, and coriander... a real nostril hair tickler. Medium-bodied with a spritzy carbonation, it’s a tonsil tickler, too. The flavor is a light caramel, a hit of yeast, and a heap of the spices noted above. The finish is dry and slightly heated with the higher alcohol content. Very satisfying.

leaparsons (4659), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Aug 23, 2005 Bottle. Cloudy orange with a small head. Aromas are caramel, wheat, sticky fruit and soft spices. Flavours are sweet toffeed malts with wheat and spices. Pretty simple but very pleasant. Has a great foaming mouthfeel.
