My 100th Belgian Ale. 33cl bottle. Thanks to Madsnp. Pours cloudy gold with a small white head. Nose & taste is yeasty & spicy. Lots of cardemom, sugar & fruity orange. Quite one dimensional but very well made.

Bottle (11.6oz) shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, jerc & mabel -- courtesy of mabel. Pours a very cloudy orange with tons of floaties of various sizes and a small creamy white head. Aroma of yeast with fruit, some light sugary sweetness and spices. Flavour’s also yeasty and fruity along with spices and a light bitterness. Average to medium bodied. Didn’t wow me but it’s decent.

A clear golden colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is fruity, ripe apples. It’s malty with some caramel. The taste is dry sweet, notes of nutes and spices. It’s fruity like orange and peaches. A bit liquorice. It’s a little syrupy. The aftertaste a little bitter sweet.

2008-10-22. Hazy orange body with a small white head and a lot of protein floaties. Mild aroma, yeast, light honey, mild malt. Pleasant but muted. (6+) Flavour is similar, light dry malt, touch of dry fruit? Modest sugars. Average plus bodied palate. Pleasant, but milder than expected. Could drink a lot of of it though. Yumm! Bottle from Beer Mania, Brussels.

Bottle (330ml). Shared by jerc and mabel, with me, blankboy and garthicus. Cloudy light gold, average creamy white head, tons of protein floaties. Sweet, yeasty, fruity, a little musty - lovely thick golden belgiums. Taste follows - yummy, not as malty, a little spicy, and a hint of alcohol. Nice carbonation, somewhat syrupy - fades a little fast, but tasty.

Slight hazy amber hue, with some chunky floaties of lees swirling around, with a frothy white head, yeasty, fruity nose of ripe apples, pears, with some toasted, honeyed malt avccents with a mild note of nutmeg spiciness, and a light candi sugar sweetness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity, orange, peach and marmalade character, with some nice toasty, honeyed sweet malt notes, with a good flowery hop citrusy and leafy accent, with a hint of spiciness, leading towards a malty, hop leafy bittering finish.

330ml bottle at Quinns, 6th September 2008. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma and flavour very similar - peach, candy sugar and soft malts. Decent but not special.
