maeib (3917), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Jan 22, 2006 Bottled. A blonde coloured beer with typical AdR protein floaties and a small short-lived white head. The aroma is bitter lemony hops, moussey fruit and a little sweet honey. The taste is light and lemony, with a little spice. Quite thin bodied but very nicely drinkable.

Hazy rich yellow, thin head. Soft light grainy aroma, some gentle hopping too. First taste was astounding - very gentle grains, some creaminess, some popcorn-like corn. I know that doesn’t sound so good, but each component was delicious. Later sips were less exciting, wheatier, heading towards a wit, and with a bit of lemon. Very interesting, quite a fun one to drink. Yeast changed very little, maybe added a slight liquorice component. IMHO drink without yeast for a crisper taste. mjs (481), Helsinki, Finland Aug 8, 2008 (Bottle, 0.75 l, at Kaisla on 2008-08-06) Golden. Hazy. Largish white head. Syrup, caramell and honey in nose. Full sugary palate. Finnish Easter pudding, syrup, light bitterness, liquorice, dried plum and hint of boiled cabbage in taste. Way too sweet. Golden orange appearance, big disappearing head. Aroma of yeast, sour apples, some malts. Dry and prickly palate, lots of carbonation, flavour is sour apples, sweet peach, yeast. Average. Glouglouburp (1915), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 6, 2008 In short: A bland juicy, floral and doughy clean Belgian Ale
How: Bottle 750ml, about 4 months old
The look: Clear golden body with a lot of particles and topped by a medium off-white head
In long: Nose of citrus essence and garden flowers. Taste has some soft cookie malts, some flower juice, some citrus+apricots juice, a few drops of perfume and a whole lot of doughy yeast. Something in that doughy flavour reminded me of a unbaked pancake-like dough complete with a slight egg yolk taste. Short finish. Oily body with an annoying soda-pop-like carbonation. Light mineral water taste from beginning to end. This is an easy to drink well brewed beer but unfortunately it is rather characterless. Altitude 6, Attitude 0.
