Slight estery yeasty fruit characters, a little bit dissapointing, seeing as it comes from one of my favourite characters. Nate (2575), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2004 Mild sweet Belgian ale aroma, light grains, honey, sugar. Mild hops. Pretty weak, though. Muted orange-amber clear (before dregs) with thin foamy lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation, slight carbonic burn. Starts with decent sweetness, but not overpowering. No acidity, and balanced well with a dry bitterness. Hay, dust, yeast. Finish is a bit watery, with medium bitterness. After is light bitter clean, with chalky yeast residue. A bit peppery. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 12, 2003 The aroma is faint, but sweet and fruity with notes of alcohol. It is an unclear yellow beer with an OK but fast disappearing head. The flavor is prickling sweet in the beginning, then a little thin, and ending on a strange bitterness. It also contains strange notes of oranges, yeast, and a flatness. Its an OK beer - but not super. imdownthepub (5191), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 6, 2006 Bottled. Yellowish cream colour with large head. Sharp but thin blonde beer, high on citricty which makes it refreshing, but low on other flavours. Thin maltiness and mouthfeel. mullet (801), Melbourne, Australia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2004 Slightly hazy with really poor head. Tinned apricot aroma, with phenols, coriander and non-alcoholic supermarket sparkling white wine. Tastes strongly of melons (ie. like Midori), with apricots, though it is pretty dry. Very fruity, but good nonetheless. I agree with Eczematic’s comment about it being halfway between a wit and blonde. sayravai (3790), Helsinki, Finland

Some cardboard and peppery spiciness in the hoppy aroma. Very spicy, witbier-like flavor with blood and cardboard. Medium-bodied, slightly foamy-carbonated, but soft palate. A very interesting brew, to say at least. A fresher bottle could be even nicer... FrkAabenhuus (147), Copenhagen, Denmark

33cl bottle from The Belgian Belly. Not on a par with the others I have tried from this brewery. Watery and lifeless mouthfeel. hoppy and grassy aroma. Malty and buscuity flavour. Just too watery to be really enjoyable.
