harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Apr 20, 2007 Bottle at Chris O bottlefest 2007. Copper colour then a massive amount of floaters. Sweetish Belgian triple, tangerine. Just so difficult to drink. Syrupy sweet. Glouglouburp (2778), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 16, 2007 Cloudy orange body with lots of large chunks topped by a small but long-lasting white head. What a nice beer. Very unique fruity flavour with a mix of strawberries, mandarins, bananas, kiwis, some cherry juice and a few drops of pomegranate juice. Blending nicely with the fruity flavours are strong notes of garden flower petals. Sweetness in medium-high but the beer doesn’t feel sugary. The sweetness really feels like natural fruit sweetness. The bready muffin-ish malts provide an adequate foundation for this very tasty and very yeasty beer. Yeast feels very active with an almost Saison-ish vivacity. Cotton-candy mouthfeel, the beer literally melts in my mouth. A little tartness to make it even more drinkable. Some more carefully selected tasty hops and this would have been a masterpiece. As much as I liked it, a full 750ml was a bit tiresome, thus lowering my initial 4.3 to a "mere" 4.0. Great dessert beer. Another excellent product from Abbaye des Rocs. Those guys just do not know how to brew a bad beer. The dude of Breughel could teach them so let’s hope they never meet. temporrari (327), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Apr 15, 2007 Smooth. Cloudy dark brown pour. Sweet flavor, very easy to drink tho. I’ll probably have to have this one again. It’s nothing special, just a really well made Belgian beer. For some reason Belgian are starting to all run together for me... save the finest examples.... This is good, not quite great. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Apr 7, 2007 Murky caramel poor with lots of sediments and a nice frothy off-white head. Aromas of allspice, caramel, alcohol, vanilla, peaches and brown sugar. Incredibly long bitterness, fantastic balance with its sweetness and bitterness. You can definitely feel the alcohol. First impression is its sweetness. Up to par with THE abbaye des rocs. ogglethorp (882), Ohio, USA Mar 31, 2007 Bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber color with a substantial beige colored head. Nice Lacing. Aroma is yeast, perhaps spicy ginger, some citrus. Flavor is yeast, orange, honey, sweet malts, hint of alcohol. Palate is medium bodied, highly carbonated, sweet, spicy finish. Great! mephisto (1144), Taiwan Mar 26, 2007 cloudy orange with rich biege head, it has sweet aroma of orange and coriander. yeasty and fruity, it is full bodied and finishes with slight bitterness blended with caramel. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Mar 13, 2007 The Aroma of this beer reminds me of a tropical fruit salad. The taste is mildly spicy with definitive notes of fruits and yeast presence. this is one worth trying nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 13, 2007 I am really disappointed with this beer. The aroma has ginger, fruit, yeast, cheese, and spice. The flavor is similar to the aroma and not all together pleasant. The palate is smooth but thin. This is not what it should be.
