COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer, robust in taste and strength (9%) is the tops for flavour. It has a fruity and spicy bouquet, it has a stark taste, between a sharp bitterness and a caramelised flavour. It has no sugar, and this pure malt beer oscillates between various tendencies which all round off the bitterness. It has a peppery taste at the back of the mouth and a sharpness on the tongue. It is active in the mouth and lets each flavour express itself individually. It is very active in the glass which gives it a full, lasting, head. It has a long conclusion and puts emphasis on an ever present bitterness but less supported by the caramel. The final impression is one of gingerbread without sugar.

2*330 ml bottles bought in a mixpack and shared at tasting. Pours amber with a frothy off-white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet with yeasty esters, caramel, plums and mandarin oranges. Taste is sweet, malty and metallic with sweet tropical fruits, bread, plums and red grapes. Mouthfeel is round and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and metallic with sweet fruits and hay.

33cl Bottle: New Years Day, in a bar on the Grand Place in Mons, Belgium. The body had an orange hue, a slight hazy mistiness prevented me seeing through the glass; small head which became a collar and a wisp after my second sip. Although I found some citrus esters in the nose and yeast aromas the overriding smells were sweeter: summer fruits and a caramel like maltiness. I thought the taste on the sweet side, caramel and toasted fruit cake: the yeast tries to come through as well, but no real hop input flavour wise. The alcohol content is well disguised, the sweetness being the only hint that this might be on the strong side. Overall too sweet, it does however slip down very nicely: one is enough for me in a session though.

En stiltypisk trippel som när den är relativt färskt är söt, vass, småbubblig och spritig. Stor lagringspotential. Drag av farinsocker och jästig beska. God.

Light sweetness and roast aromas. Copper in color with almost no head. Caramalty and sweet with a bit of spice undertone. A descent amber but not my favorite from this great brewery.

Almost clear amber beer with too small white head. Fruity and spicy nose and flavours, with banana, raisins, caramel, some dough. Yeast is again a over the bottle, even after a few weeks of rest. No point in trying to leave most of it in the bottle, simply won’t work. This is an ok drink though. Strong, full, lively but still rather soft carbo. Gets better when it warms up (started too cold at 6 celsius)
