I’m gonna come on hard in your face like a pack of cards my spades are ace so never disregard the shard of lyrics that flow like the bard. Belgian browns not my thing but this improved as the glass went down which is to be admired. Disregard.

From a US Market bomber bottle (Brasserie des Rocs Ambree). Muddy unimpressive appearance. Aroma is effervescent and peppery. Flavor is crisp and of bitt aple with a touch of pepper, spice and yeast. Mildly tart crisp finish. Not as good as the other des Rocs beer I’ve had but definitely worth a try.

330ml bottle, BBE 17/12/14. Pours amber with a large, off-white, classy head. Aroma is yeasty, baker’s yeast, dried fruit, fermented apple, fresh pear. Taste is surprisingly sweet with lemony and lime-like flavors. Caramel and apricot take over quickly. Light touch of marzipan yeast, fermented apple, quite sugary. Palate is quite light with quite a bit of carbonation. Disappointing in its sweetness.

33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Lambertseter. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruits, Belgian yeast with some hoppy notes and a hint of spices and alcohol. Quite sweet, fruity and malty with a slightly dry finish with a light bitterness. Well balanced and quite well integrated alcohol. Medium body with fairly soft carbonation. Easy to drink and enjoyable.

Bottle shared with ClubGonzo and Veitafan. Pours a hazy orange colour with a small off-white head. Sweet and malty aroma with Belgian yeast, some berries and a little spices and alcohol. Still a lot of sweet malt and Belgian yeast in the flavour along with some marzipan, spices, berries and is slightly acidic. Has a soft and slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. In the end it feels a bit strange and pretty sweet.
