Commercial Description:
This beer, robust in taste and strength (9%) is the tops for flavour. It has a fruity and spicy bouquet, it has a stark taste, between a sharp bitterness and a caramelised flavour. It has no sugar, and this pure malt beer oscillates between various tendencies which all round off the bitterness. It has a peppery taste at the back of the mouth and a sharpness on the tongue. It is active in the mouth and lets each flavour express itself individually. It is very active in the glass which gives it a full, lasting, head. It has a long conclusion and puts emphasis on an ever present bitterness but less supported by the caramel. The final impression is one of gingerbread without sugar.

Cloudy orange body with lots of large chunks topped by a small but long-lasting white head. What a nice beer. Very unique fruity flavour with a mix of strawberries, mandarins, bananas, kiwis, some cherry juice and a few drops of pomegranate juice. Blending nicely with the fruity flavours are strong notes of garden flower petals. Sweetness in medium-high but the beer doesn’t feel sugary. The sweetness really feels like natural fruit sweetness. The bready muffin-ish malts provide an adequate foundation for this very tasty and very yeasty beer. Yeast feels very active with an almost Saison-ish vivacity. Cotton-candy mouthfeel, the beer literally melts in my mouth. A little tartness to make it even more drinkable. Some more carefully selected tasty hops and this would have been a masterpiece. As much as I liked it, a full 750ml was a bit tiresome, thus lowering my initial 4.3 to a "mere" 4.0. Great dessert beer. Another excellent product from Abbaye des Rocs. Those guys just do not know how to brew a bad beer. The dude of Breughel could teach them so let’s hope they never meet.

Pours a lovely honey amber with a medium white subtle head. Very nice aroma wit hsweet malts, spices, some scents of flowers, and caramel. tastes of butterscotch, citrus, and orange. has a very Belgian taste to it, somewhat similar to a triple. Very nicely done. This brewery is as solid as a belgian brewery gets.

Bottle @ Delirium Cafe. Cloudy orange brown appearance. Medium head. The smell is amazing. Molasses, grain mill like richness and organic references. Just overwhelming. The taste is also excellent, but not quite as good as the nose belies. No alcohol found whatsoever, more bitter than sweet, quaffable, but not quite a bush 7.

Bottle (750 ml). Good looks. Hazy amber with a great head. Huge aroma, I could smell this for days. Taste is complex, fruity and palate is sweet and fiery. This is great stuff... Abbaye des Rocs impresses again.

Hazy amber (golden orange) with a fine white head. Aroma and taste of yeast (malts) spice and fruits (citrus/oranges). Little sweetness. Smooth & filling texture. Medium live carbonation. Great lasting and pleasant finish. Abbaye de rocs is truly amazing. Great
