The aroma is lightly spiced and the flavour is quite weakly spiced and gently bitter. Overall a very average beer. 17thfloor (1464), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Woohoo!!! finally poured a des Rocs without the protein floaties, of course I left a good 2 ounces in the the bottle, but finally a clean des Rocs pour! Pours a clear dark glowing rich golden with a smaller fine white froth 3.5. Aroma is typical des Rocs, sweet malty, light grass, rich cloying lightly fruity. Flavor follows as expected except a bit more doughy/bready, would never be confused with anything other than des Rocs, rich toasted honey, yeasty. Medium bodied, lightly syrupy with surprisingly fine crisp sizzling carbonation, fairly clean. Not really interesting, but not entirely boring either. ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA

A bit spicy, light citrus, yeast. Tasty and refreshing. Doesn’t amaze me, but it’s very solid. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA

Has that rich des Rocs fruity yeast and malt richness- plum, vanilla, green grapes (almost vinous)- very richly malty. Nice creamy body. Very sweet flavor with plum & honey, yet it’s soft and fluffy. Some vanilla, honeyish biscuit, graham cracker notes with a rich malt presence. Like a dessert- a bit too sweet for my taste. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 4, 2009 Quite an orange blond with a shed load of floaty bits. Like doing the washing up without rinsing first. Medium white head. Fairly standard blonde but I’ve not had many recently so enjoyed this. Citrus fruit aroma with yeast and spice. Flavour is quite similar, caramel and a little hops. Not bad at all. FatPhil (3469), Espoo, Finland

Pale hazy gold, lots of fluffy floaties. Yeasty and fruity aroma, with a touch of cake and spice. Pleasant carbonation. Deliciously fruity biscuity taste; baking tin - some caramel and burnt corners. Finish is slightly muddy light grains, and a pleasant bitter tingle of noble hops. Back again to yeast and spice. Very refreshing, and covers 7.5% very well. Good easy-drinking blonde. richlikebeer (832), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
