Bottle. Unclear light to medium orange color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty and yeasty, toasted, yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter, light light acidic, with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (141107)

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a huge white head and large yeast sediments, which I had to filter out. Slid coriander and mild malt aroma, slight yeasty dough and spice note too. Smooth yeasty, mild caramel and subdued citrus fruity note. Smooth lingering caramel and towards dry finish. Nice, but not thrilling.

[Draft at ZBF 2004] A clear yellow beer with a fine disappearing though lazing head. The aroma is sweet spicy. The flavor is sweet oranges with hints of alcohol. The end is dry with notes of corriander and hops.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, deep golden with some impurities - the usual Des Rocs flocculate I reckon. The head is a creamy, off-white and leaves some lacework. Very soft, smooth and pleasant mouthfeel. Aroma is one of yeast and fruit. Medium body with notes of yeast and fruit and lightly sweet malts. Some dry bitterness in the finish. 030307

Bottled. Amber/golden colour, mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma of fruit, barnyard and rubber. Also some spices. Flavour sweet hoppy with some rubbery notes. Some honeyish notes also. Refreshing,

Bottled. Cloudy golden with rich, firm head. There some grassy hops up front, along with a little fruity esters. Firm and solidly malty - with pleasant, soft mouthfeel. Lingering salty finish. A beautifully balanced beer.

Cloudy amber beer. Tidy off white head. Light fluffy palate, semi dry. Sweet caramel malt. Seltzer minerals. A little candy fruits. Finishes semi dry. Nice beer but sweet, needs some balance.

Cloudy golden color; creamy head. Nice malty aroma, with some hop and spices. Very good taste, which combines the maltiness, quite sweet in the front, to the late bitterness. Aromatic and spicy. Good, as always by Abbaye des Rocs.

Bottle at home ... Bright Clear golden with those big chunks of protien (its a shame that this seems to plague lots of Des Rocs beers)... yeasty hop nose .... yeasty with a light fresh lemon hop ...
