3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a huge white head and large yeast sediments, which I had to filter out. Slid coriander and mild malt aroma, slight yeasty dough and spice note too. Smooth yeasty, mild caramel and subdued citrus fruity note. Smooth lingering caramel and towards dry finish. Nice, but not thrilling.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, deep golden with some impurities - the usual Des Rocs flocculate I reckon. The head is a creamy, off-white and leaves some lacework. Very soft, smooth and pleasant mouthfeel. Aroma is one of yeast and fruit. Medium body with notes of yeast and fruit and lightly sweet malts. Some dry bitterness in the finish. 030307

Keg at Delirium’s Café
Cloudy golden color; creamy head. Nice malty aroma, with some hop and spices. Very good taste, which combines the maltiness, quite sweet in the front, to the late bitterness. Aromatic and spicy. Good, as always by Abbaye des Rocs.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2009 Bottle, 7.5%. When opened, the sediment is whirled up into the beer leaving large and small bits of gunk float around in it. Slimy-looking mixture of white yeast and orange beer. Refreshing citric aroma, hint of yeast. The flavour has a distinct teaish note with a good maltiness from light malts. Good alcohol level balancing the beer well. 7 1 7 3 19
Bottle, 7.5%. The same happened with the sediment in this beer. The aroma is rather dull, but a little citric. The flavour has some orange notes, but less sweet. Hint of yeast. Less flavourful than my old rating suggests. 6 1 6 3 17
