3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Brasserie De Rocs - Blond label
Golden orange pour with nice froth. Aroma yields minimal spice, high levels of banana and grain (smells like a hefe). Tastes almost as muted as a hefe as well, with a moderate yeastiness and a long dry finish. A mild dissapointment.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 33cl, hopduvel. Similar to the Abbaye des rocs Altitude but this one has less pronounced aroma’s. A bit the other way around because this one has a higher ABV. Overall this beer is very drinkable with a good balance of spices added.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden orange with decent size white head. Lots of floating yeast. A bit spicy, light citrus, yeast. Tasty and refreshing. Doesn’t amaze me, but it’s very solid.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy yellow with normal head. Aroma of yeast and fruit aroma. Flavour of fruity malts, hops and almost some bacterial sourness. A nice blonde

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle ’belgian version abbaye des rocs blond’,but it’s the same beer in my opinion. golden/dark yellow colour with nice white head. Smell: hoppy and grainy and this what you can expect from the taste: hoppy, medium bitter, a bit sweet, grainy. Nice tripel!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Great blonde from a great company. Its a very unique taste character. Its got some stuff that i cant decipher. Its complex, but easy to drink and delicious, I think maybe I got some coriander in there, a fruity/citrus hint. Bread, cereal, carbonation, lemon, Great taste and palate is touched but not hammered its good on the tongue. Lovely beer

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled at Eurohappy. Expensive One, labeled as Abbaye des Rocs Nounette
Pours a clear orange color, beautiful with a slight haze and lots of particles floating. Head is medium, white, lasts for a while and leaves a thin film.
Aroma is fruity, yeasty with additional spices and faint hops. I smell a Belgian Hefe-Weizen? Lots of banana aromas joined by whiffs of vanilla, peach melba and aniseed. Pleasant, but straight-forward, weizen aroma.
Flavor is nice, sweet-ish and cereally-fruity with notes of banana, banana candy and chewing gum, aniseed, tropical fruits like papaya and mango and fruit salad. Solid, tasty. Again, Weizen flavors but much more intensified.
Palate is light to medium. Smooth creamy texture, rather simple, refreshing and easy to drink. Good aftertaste. If this is a Tripel it’s the most seasonal tripel I’ve ever tried. A crisp Blonde that tastes like a Weizen on Steroids with some Wit characteristics.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The color was a golden blonde. There was nice carbonation and a lot of sediment. The head was creamy, foamy, and off-white. The aroma was yeasty, grain, alcohol, and maybe some dry hops. The flavor was a little waxy and yeasty. The palate was thin/medium bodied and smooth. The palate finish was warm.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Open All Hours, Keswick. Halfway through the pour this deposited a big glob of protein into the glass, with an audible ’plop’. This seems to be a common problem with des Rocs beers so I will rate on regardless. Cloudy Yellow/orange with lots of sediment floating about. Aroma of spice, fruit, yeast. You can feel the sediment in the mouth and this was slightly offputting for me. I’ll re-rate if a better example comes my way.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
ivorywhite head that disappears without lacing. dark blonde colour. aroma is stale, mushrooms, oxidized, nuts, horse piss, foul scent, butter. taste like aroma. medium body and carbonation. clearly not a provision beer, didn’t age gracefully at all. bottle 75 cl / bbf mar-2014
