| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 23, 2009 Bottle off Octo’s shelf. Aroma blackcurrant Starburst, yoghurt and apple skins over earthy pineneedle, baked beans, menthol and honey. Murky and pinkish with a fine head subsiding to a collar, condition tingling and slight. Opens sourish and fruity, but doesn’t shake off that dense, earthy bean and wholemeal yeastiness. Some retronasal vanilla and oaky notes. The yeast doesn’t suit the fruit here, when some crisper lambic edge might have really worked. Messy and jarring, neither farts nor shits itself... thebeertourist (2788), Oslo, Norway

Hazy reddy brown. Savoury gravy aroma to me with a blackcurrant twist, strawberry aroma to Anna. This is just blanche with added juice, not well integrated. Thin. No hint of any alcohol, amazing for 7.5%. However, it does nothing for me. There’s nothing particularly wrong with it, it’s just about as interesting as melt-water. mjs (1478), Helsinki, Finland

Small white head. Cough mixture and bouillon in aroma. Full bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Cough mixture, berries, malts, sweetness and bitterness in taste, Awful. A bad bottle perhaps. Bontus (302), Waasmunster, Belgium

Very special aroma, cassis obviously. Also blackcurrant and raspberry. Salty in the mouth. Good balance between sour and sweet, for sure the sourest AdR beer. Dedollewaitor (3662), Odense, Denmark

Pours muddy amber reddish with the most creamy head ive ever seen. Nose is sweet and sour of cassis, wheat and yeast. Smooth mouthfeel and carbonation Herbal fruityness, close to picking up some liquorice. A fruitbeer unlike anything Ive tasted before. Quite interesting. Ends dry with sour cassis tingling my cheek.
